Douglas Banks

Douglas Banks. Owner/Director.
Originally from London, England, Douglas started dancing when he was only 4 years old and has been dancing ever since. Douglas has been a finalist in numerous British and American competitions and is using his experience and expertise to help his staff and students accomplish their goals. Currently, Douglas is the director and owner of the studio and has succeeded in making Hanover the top studio in New England in each of the last four years with the studio competing in a variety of competitions and placing in the top positions.

Christine

Christine Harvey. Owner/Coach.
Born in London, England, Christine began dancing at an early age and has been dancing for the last 35 years. Representing England, Christine was consistently a finalist in all the major European and World Championships. Her competitive career has taken her to many parts of the world and eventually to Massachusetts where she has become one of the most sought after coaches in the area. Christine is a World Class Adjudicator and judges competitions all over the United States.

Istvan

Istvan Cserven. Manager.
Before moving to the United States, Istvan enjoyed an extensive amateur dance career in his native Hungary while working as a math and German high school teacher. He holds titles as a former Hungarian Standard Champion and three-time Vice Hungarian 10-Dance Champion. He also was a member of the "National Champion Latin Formation Team," which was a finalist in the World and European Championships several times. For the next 11 years, he taught competitive couples of all levels and ages, and coached the Hungarian Latin Youth Champions and several Formation Teams. Devoted to ballroom dancing as a competitive sport, Istvan also served as the vice president of the Hungarian Dance Sport Association for 2 years. He joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Norwood and Boston in 1997, and now has joined our family here in Hanover and is one of our team's most valuable assets. Istvan is our teacher trainer who prepares all our staff members for their Fred Astaire teacher certification examinations, leveraging his extraordinary background and experience. His competitive as well as his social students praise him for his remarkable patience and his ability to make learning how to dance appear so easy and fun. He was recently named Top Teacher at the Tri Star Fred Astaire Championships. Since residing in the U.S., he has added another qualification to his list of credentials: he is now an accomplished Licentiate of the U.S. Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (U.S.I.S.T.D). Mary

Mary Wilson. Instructor.
Born and raised on the South Shore, Mary began teaching in 1992 in answer to an advertisement from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Hanover headlining "Do you like to dance and sleep late?" She received numerous awards in 1995 and 1996 from the New England Fred Astaire Dance Studios Association for her outstanding achievement and was elected to the New England Dance Board in 1997. Mary is thrilled to be back teaching again at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. "Teaching at FADS - Hanover is so much fun it can't be considered work. I look forward to seeing my old friends and meet new ones. It's a privilege to be working among such a talented group of instructors and students."

Irina

Irina Gareveva. Instructor.
Irina is 22 years old and was born and raised in Kazakhstan. She started dancing at very young age and has been dancing competitively for the past 10 years. She was selected to represent her country in the National Dance Championships where she took 1st place on three different occasions. Irina attended the University of Culture and Arts in Russia and graduated with a degree in dance choreography in 2007. She came to the United States in October 2007 and immediately joined the Fred Astaire Dance Studio team as an experienced ballroom dance teacher. She strives everyday at the studio in hopes to become the World Ballroom Dance Champion someday along with her partner, Anatoli Gorolevici, who is also an instructor at FADS Hanover.

Anatoli

Anatoli Gorolevici. Instructor.
Born and raised in Moldova, Anatoli has competed and won many European & National competitions in Standard and Latin. Finalist in the Junior European Standard championships. Undefeated Italian Standard Formation Champion 2003-2004.

Kalin

Kalin Mitov. Instructor.
Born and raised in Bulgaria, Kalin has an international competitive ballroom dance background and competed in Europe and Central Asia. While Kalin is a talented teacher and dancer, he also has a Masters Degree in Social Work which will contribute to his enriching our students' personal development even more.

Kristie

Kristie Mullins. Instructor.
As a young girl, Kristie had always aspired to be a dancer and began taking lessons at a young age. She graduated from Western New England College with a degree in business and marketing with the dream of combining the two interests of dance and marketing into a career. In pursuit of her dance dreams, she answered an ad for teachers at a local dance studio. This proved to be a great move. After 17 years of hard work and training, Kristie has acquired numerous regional and national titles including the New England Ten Dance Champion.

David

David Rosinski. Visiting Coach.
Former U.S. National and World Champion in Theater Arts. He is responsible for the choreography of all competitions and shows. David has been teaching for 25 years and is qualified in American Smooth and Rhythm and adjudicator.
